Most consultants will tell you what you need to do to meet the FSA’s requirements or how to develop your staff without much if any consideration for the way your business operates. This was fine when the rules were detailed and one size fitted all, but your business will have issues unique to you and now you must interpret what is required before you can implement it.
I work in the opposite way looking at your business first and seeing how your existing way of doing things will meet your business’ need and the regulatory requirement. The needs of general insurance are very different to pensions and the FSA’s rules reflect this and any solution must meet the needs of the particular business.
I can do this because I spend 100s of hours each year reviewing the FSAs rules and attending events to ensure I fully understand what is actually required and stay up to date.
With extensive practical experience I am also able to identify and help implement suggestions for improvement from a business point of view. Where change is required this will be done in a way that you will be able to operate in practice. |
